Greetings in the Name of Jesus!

Footsteps of Jesus Christ is a 7-fold ministry which can accommodate a variety of needs:

(1) Certified Christian Counseling/Pastoral Professional Counseling (individual, family, and pre-marital);

(2) Evangelistic Ministry (through the Giving to Jesus ministry:  helping the fatherless, widows, the poor and the needy, as God gives us methods, and opportunity);

(3) Leadership Training/College Ministry (training and certifying ministers and pastors for the work of the ministry);

(4) Music Ministry (music during Sunday services only currently, due to the illness of our Bishop);

(5) Outreach/Media Ministry (keeping in touch with members and ministry affiliates through a newsletter published annually);

(6) Pastoral/Church Ministry (conducting inspiring Sunday services from 8:30 - approximately 10 am.); and

(7) Telephone Follow-up Ministry (checking on the brethren/sisteren to see how they do, and if they have any needs that we can assist with).

Other Features of this Ministry

Footsteps of Jesus Christ, through the inspiration of the Holy Ghost, obeys God in an effective and Scriptural way to give to Jesus Christ, not only around the time of the year that is designated as the celebration of His birth, which we call, birth anniversary.  Instead of us giving to those who are already well endowed with gadgets, we sacrifice what we could give to ourselves, or to those who already have an abundance, to fulfill St. Matthew 25:34-40, which says:

34 "Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: 35 For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in: 36 Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me. 37 Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink? 38 When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee? 39 Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee? 40 And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me."

This is called, giving to one of the least of these, which accually becomes a BIRTH ANNIVERSARY PARTY FOR JESUS, regardless of when God leads us to do it throughout the year.

(1) The first year for the celebration, 2008, the Lord gave us knowledge of a young woman with a child who'd lost her employment two weeks prior to CHRISTmas.  We made friends and family aware, while keeping the young woman anonymous, but she and her son were also invited to the festivities.  There was a cake that said, "Happy Birth Anniversary Jesus," and Icecream, and the participants sang and glorified God.  We took up an offering and gave all proceeds to the woman, and gifts for her child.  There was a prayer of intercession for her that the Lord would give her a better job, and within 30 days she was working again, and is yet employed, Praise Jesus!

(2)  The second year, 2009, the Lord brought to our attention a family of four young orphans.  The mother was fleeing from her estranged abusive husband, but when he found her, he killed her in front of the children, then turned the gun on himself.  The grandparents assumed custody of the children.  We found out what they requested and they and the grandparents were the next recipients of the gifts for Jesus this year.  Footsteps was able to provide clothing and toys to the children, and a pot and pan set for the grandparents.  That was their only request since they now had a larger family to feed.  Alleluia!

(3)  Year three, 2010, the women's shelter that the Lord had blessed us to serve regularly for about five years at this time, was in need of personal items for its residents.  Footsteps found out what they needed, gave each woman gift certificates, and brought the Jesus cake for the celebration at the shelter.

(4)  2011 was a very special year for us, as a man who had lived homeless since his mother passed in 1996, had been living in a tent for two years at the community called "Hopeville" in downtown St. Louis, MO.  He now had a chance to get his first apartment since becoming homeless.  Social services helped him get it, and Footsteps of Jesus Christ helped him furnish it, all to the glory of the Lord Jesus.  He maintained his apartment and did well until his passing in 2020.

(5)  The Lord allowed a brother in Christ, who'd been involved in criminal activity before coming to God, to have to spend five years in jail, and in 2012, the Lord delivered him, and he became our fifth recipient of the Birth Anniversary Party for Jesus gifts.  While in jail, he remained in touch and encouraged.  The Lord blessed Footsteps to be able to give him shoes, clothing, and personal items to help him get back on his feet.

(6)  In 2013, the Lord opened the door for us to be able to include a Family Services Center where young people reside, to be the focus of God's outreach ministry through Footsteps of Jesus Christ.  We began early in the year assisting the already existing facility as volunteers.  The Lord knowing our desire to do more, opened the opportunity for Footsteps of Jesus Christ to go into the lockdown facility and have services with the males and females there.  They received us very well, and the Lord put it on our hearts to make them the next recipients of the Birth Anniversary Party for Jesus.

(7) In 2014, the Lord sent a woman across our path who had been living out of town for several years.  Her son and grandchildren were there, and she had made a comfortable life for herself, but her mother was living in St. Louis, Missouri.  When she heard of her mother's failing health, she left everything behind, to come to her aid.  By this time, she had been her mother's main caregiver for approximately two (2) years, could not work because her mother needed 24 hour care, and had no income to help supply her needs.  The Lord blessed Footsteps of Jesus Christ to take her shopping for personal items, clothing, shoes, and regularly assisted her as the needs arose.

(8) In 2015, the Lord sent a homeless man across our path, while doing in home Scripture Studies in E. St. Louis, IL, and blessed us to assist him with winter garments (a coat, shirts, slacks, hats, boots), and underclothing.  This was an opportunity that was almost missed, as he expressed that he didn't feel that God wanted to give him such excellent new items.  He thought of himself as only deserving the basest of things.  After God, through Footsteps of Jesus Christ, convinced him that he was no different than anyone else, that God loved him just as much as anyone else, and that he was worthy of these things, the Lord allowed him to receive them and be a blessing to Footsteps of Jesus Christ to continue with the giving to Jesus ministry for this year as well.

And although these are only some of the stories of how we have given to Jesus all throughout the year, we continue to give as God provides for us to give, whenever there's a need.  We feel blessed to be able to share these testimonies with you, and hope that in years to come, you will begin to be obedient to the Word of God in this way as well.

Bishop Dennis E. & Dr. Velecia A. Hulsey, Pastors

Bishop Dennis E. Hulsey received his call to the Ministry in 1992.  He served as Assistant Pastor to several ministries around the St. Louis and E. St. Louis areas.  Bishop Hulsey was licensed under the ministry of Footsteps of Jesus Christ on December 4, 2010, ordained July 2, 2011, and elevated to Bishop on November 10, 2012.

Dr. Velecia A. Hulsey received her call to the Ministry in 1976.  She was licensed and ordained November 28, 1993 under the ministry of Solid Rock Full Gospel Assembly (Bishop L. F. Thomas, overseer).  She has been pastoring Footsteps of Jesus Christ Apostles' Doctrine Church, Inc. since May 1994.

College Happenings!

Footsteps of Jesus Christ College, Inc. continues to function through the Ministerial & Leadership Training series, where God has called us to go into Houses of God, the homes of the saints, to train directly in our services, and through correspondence, training leaders for accuracy in service to God.

The Lord instructed us to revise the present curriculum, the "Preach the Word" series, first volume published in 1999, for those who desire to read and study through the Word of God, from cover to cover, as we believe that before any new minister, male or female, moves forward in ministry, he or she ought to have read through the Word of God, at least once.  The revisions for the new format were completed and published in 2020.  And following the successful completion of the Minister's training course, a Certificate of Licensure for ministry will be awarded, and after completion of the Leadership Training manual, the minister will become an ordained elder, which could lead to pastoring.

Proven Ministerial experience will suffice as a prerequisite to Licensure and Ordination.

We thank all of you who have shown an interest in the untraditional College setting.  These Specialized individual Scripture trainings can be scheduled with Dr. Hulsey at your convenience.
